CLASSES / TALENTS

Talents in WoW Forever

The confirmed scope of Forever’s talent and skill changes, plus the community tools that should be treated as provisional.

STATUS / OFFICIAL SCOPE

Every specialization is in scope, but no final trees are published.

The product page promises gameplay updates across all specializations, and the trailer shows New Skills & Talents. A community calculator now reports all 470 talent slots with per-class new, changed, and verified-same counts, but it remains a link-first planning tool rather than a final Blizzard data release.

QUICK REFERENCE

The short version

SYSTEM SCOPE

All specializations

Blizzard’s product description says the updates apply across specializations.

TRAILER

New Skills & Talents

A confirmed card appears in the official gameplay trailer.

REPORTED COVERAGE

470 slots

127 new, 217 changed, and 122 verified same across nine class calculators.

CALCULATORS

Link-first

Use the buddy calculators for exploration; do not treat their pre-beta values as final authority.

CONFIRMED

The shape of the change

The announcement is broad; the implementation is still hidden.

All specializations

Forever is not described as changing only one class. Blizzard’s wording covers gameplay updates across every specialization.

New skills and talents

The trailer confirms a new skills-and-talents message, but a headline card is not a spell list.

New race/class choices

Dwarf Shaman, Forsaken Paladin, and the Skyborne class options are confirmed separately from the exact talent changes.

COMMUNITY-CROSS-CHECKED

Talent coverage index

The buddy calculator reports every slot covered and marks each talent as new, changed, or verified same. We link to the interactive tools rather than duplicating all 470 talents before a data-sharing and maintenance agreement exists.

REPORTED

Early class details

The only circulated class-specific details found in the audit are reports, not Blizzard tables.

Paladin reports

Secondary coverage describes a new tanking seal, a Holy Strike ability, longer Blessings, and a Judgement interaction change. Keep all four reported until beta tooltips verify them.

Calculators

Wowhead and wowtbc.gg host Forever-labeled talent calculators. They are fan tools built ahead of a complete first-party data release.

Profession talent claim

Community discussion applies the talent-tree idea to professions too, but no named first-party source has confirmed that connection.

  • Final tree names, row requirements, point totals, and respec rules.
  • Whether Primary and Secondary tabs shown in presentation material represent a real player system.
  • How new race/class combinations interact with class, racial, or profession talents.

SOURCE TRAIL

Where these notes came from

We use official material first, then identify community reports and tools separately. A source link is a trail back to the evidence, not an endorsement of every claim on that page.
